Summer Playlist
sorry the posting has been verryyyyy inconsistent these days! But I've been busy with school and friends and family and stuff. Now I have a whole six and a half weeks to dedicate to you as it is the summer holidays! Me and Charlie wrote a list of everything we wanted to do during. let me tell you it was a loooonnnnnngggg list.
the weather up here has been SO hot sometimes i thought i was going to melt! but it has been lovely wearing shorts everyday after you come home from school. which is something i crave for all winter.
of course you cant do any of the things you wrote down without a summer playlist! what would life be like without music? v v boring.
so i decide to share with you my top favourite songs out at the moment to get you in the mood.
- Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke
- Crazy Kids by Ke$ha
- Wild by Jessie J
- I love It by Icona Pop
- Reload by Sebastian Ingrosso
- 5 Years Time by Noah and the Whale (an oldie but a goodie!)
- The Other Side by Jason Derulo
- Can't Hold Us by Macklemore
- Tennis Court by Lorde
- Brokenhearted by Lawson
Get these on your playlist this summer! Hopefully I will blog quite regularly and maybe sqeeze some outfit posts in there! I will also do a diary of my Holiday camping in Cornwall towards the end of August. If you have any ideas for blog posts please leave a comment!

I am a HUGE lipstick fan. Although I didn't catch the bug until recently...
Now I'll have one in every colour please. I will wear ANY lipstick, its kind of an obsession. I think it just completes your look, and it doesn't have to be expensive to look good. Some of my pharmacy/drugstore lipsticks last for hours! Here's some of my favourites at the mo...
Rimmel's Kate Moss collection are probably my favourite; the colour shows up so well and I hardly ever have to renew them. I tend to put some lip balm underneath because they seem to dry out my lips a bit.
The Revlon lipsticks are BEAUTIFUL. I especially like Fuchsia Shock from the Super Lustrous collection. It leaves a lovely shine on your lips and the colour is so bright.
GOSH are another of my favourites. You don't have to wear any lip balm or gloss as it leaves a shine and doesn't dry your lips out! I did a full review on one of this brands lipsticks in one of my previous posts.
so those are a couple of my favourite pharmacy lipsticks. make sure you exfoliate your lips before applying to get rid of any dead skin.

June Wishlist
this post has kind of a midi-theme to it...
Charcoal midi dress Boohoo.com here
Miss Selfridge Clutch Bag here
Black Red Herring wedges here
Black midi dress New Look here
I noticed a lot of people wearing these midi dresses around lately. At first I thought they were more for occasions or going out but I spotted more people wearing them on sunny days (these last two weeks have been BLISS!). I really liked them but I seem to spend money as soon as I get it. Now I'm skint. So I'll put them on my wishlist and wait for pocket money to mount up again. As I look best in simple colours I went for plain black and grey. Grey just seems a really casual colour for me and I love wearing this colour, plus I also think that everyone should have a black midi dress in their wardrobe. Dress it up or dress it down...
to dress it up I chose this BEAUTIFUL Miss Selfridge clutch. I LOVE the diamante detail on the clasp it is just so so pretty yet so simple.
Midi dresses, I think, look really good with quite chunky shoes, plus I've wanted a pair of black wedges for ages; so the black dress, the clutch and these shoes would make a perfect, simple outfit for a night out.

GOSH lipstick review
GOSH
This is the GOSH Velvet Touch Lipstick in the shade 153 Flirty Orange; I have been searching for an orange lipstick for agggeeeeeesssss but whenever I looked at my local pharmacy/drugstore ALL of them were sold out so I was dead excited when I found this one. I would have gone for a more expensive one but as I have a more than usually tight budget I had to wait for a cheaper one (this was £6.49).
I am glad I didn't splash out as this lipstick is probably just as good as the more expensive. It feels lovely and light on your lips and leaves a good solid colour for quite a while. Unlike other drugstore lipsticks the GOSH doesn't feel like it is drying out your lips. I wear it when I feel a bit daring or to brighten up my outfit, the orange is such a summery colour but I also think it will look good with the winter wardrobe.

May WishList
1. Next: Flower Embellished Tunic here
2. Topshop: Ultimate Chelsea Boots here
3: Miss Selfridge: Pearl Collar Playsuit here
4: Miss Selfridge: Coral High Waisted Shorts here
Whilst browsing through my local Next store I fell in love with this little tunic instantly, its just so summery and cheerful and I WANT this in my wardrobe! It would look great with comfy leggings and toughened up with those chelsea boots from Topshop. I've always wanted a pair of chelsea boots as they look great with anything plus these chunky ones hit two trends in one go! The denim playsuit is perfect for the summer hols and I love the pearly detail on the collar. Miss Selfridge is my favourite ever shop and when I saw these shorts I new I had to have them. The colour is beautiful and you could wear these for formal occasions or casual days out with your friends.
Love to know whats on your wishlist!

Urban Decay
A couple of days ago me and my dear mother drove up to Carlisle for a day of blissful shopping without the disturbance of Dad spending hours in Waterstones and my little brother pestering mum to buy him an Xbox game. First we nipped up to Hobbycraft so Mum could get some quilting equipment and I could get some pencils for Art, then we went into the town centre. The aim was to get me some new clothes for my work experience which is in a couple of weeks as I don't have a single pair of black trousers in my wardrobe (!).
We also decided to browse the make up department in Debenhams, when I came upon Urban Decay I found this...
This is Urban Decays Makeup Staying Spray (£19.50). IT. IS. AMAZING. You really get what you pay for. Perfect for all make up wearing people throughout the day and night. This spray lasts for 16 hours and prevents your make up from fading, creasing, melting and it hasn't irritated my skin once. It is also really light on your skin and non-greasy. I've wanted something like this for ages and when I found it in Debenhams I did a little dance. If you don't wear make up that often you can also get a travel sized one for £9. There really is nothing bad to say about this. Its magic! I wear this to school and when I get home I look in the mirror and my make up is just the same as it was when I put it on. A definite must have.

SUMMER!!
Winter is finally over, the sun has been shining and we have a bank holiday weekend! Can things get any better? Its that lovely time of year when you can go into town and buy all the shorts and crops tops you can carry (I wish). I got bored yesterday so thought I would make a collage of some of the clothes that remind me of summer. I hope you like it :)
sorry if the pics are a little blurred :/
see you next week!!

Just be nice
hello there! :)
little bit of a bittersweet post today...
Most of us have that one friend who we care loads about and have known for years. They're the one who know all your secrets and make you laugh and you think that you'll never stop being their friend. We tend to take them for granted. And then they stop being there and you don't know what to do anymore. You sit in your room all weekend on your laptop, cry a little, tell yourself that you'll get over them but you don't.
After a while you contact them on Facebook because you've both got knew phones or changed your numbers. You tell them that you really miss them and that you'd love it if you could meet up with you. But you get no reply. And you repeatedly check your phone, but they ignore you.
Nothing is worse than that unwanted feeling that you get.
In my experience its best to just let them go, get on with your life. You're going to meet so many other people that are going to stay with you and love you no matter what happens.
If that person contacts you and says they want to be mates again then that's great; but until then we can't just sit around and wait.
Sit next to the curly haired new girl on the school bus, say hi to the boy you've liked for ages. You never know, you just might find that best friend who you'll have for life. But this time you'll never take them for granted.

Hello :)
Hi I'm Holly. You probably don't know me very well.
I'm a teenage girl who lives in the north of England in the beautiful Lake District and I think this blog will be a kind of diary about my life, fashion, food, music and anything that interests me. I like taking pretty photographs, drawing, eating, finding little shops that are like treasure chests and reading. I get exited about boys (especially Andrew Garfield and Zac Efron!), good music, getting A*s and Christmas.
This blog has been inspired by a lot of different things.
Firstly, I want to express my thoughts and feelings. I have a lot to say, and this blog provide a place for me to be heard. I want to communicate with and meet people who feel the same as me. Plus, if I could make a difference in someone's life for just five minutes while they read my latest post I will be a very happy teenager.
I often feel like my life is going nowhere. Even though I'm only fifteen. I'm not sure what I want to do when I finish school. People are always telling me that its early days and I don't have to choose yet. My mother tells me to pray about it, which I do. I hope blogging will make me feel committed to something, like I'm working towards a goal.
I hope you will enjoy reading this blog, the quality of writing probably isn't very good but I promise I will improve as time goes on :)

April Showers
March was the month of indecisiveness for the weather in Britain. One day we have inches of snow and all the schools are closing because of a weather warning; the next week the sun puts his hat on and you feel like running around the harbour in your shorts and little cropped t-shirts.
Now its April and as I look outside my bedroom window I can see raindrops falling off the trees and puddles starting to form on the patio.
Days like this leave us feeling a little bit down in the dumps, don't they? Exam week is looming and you've been studying and revising the whole of the Easter holidays when the sun has been shining. Now, on a Sunday and we've got some spare time to see our friends and go into town before school starts it decides to rain. Yippee.
Anyway, I have some ideas to get us out of the dumpsters!
My Spring Playlist! (just some feel good songs to get us in the mood :) )
- Ready or Not by Bridgit Mendler here
- Best Damn Night by Six D here
- Oath by Cher Lloyd here
- 22 by Taylor Swift here
- Brokenhearted by Karmin here
- Hey Soul Sister by Train here
Stuff to do on a rainy day:
- Bake a cake (and eat it!!)
- Update some of your clothes (are those skinny jeans getting to small but you don't want to chuck them? cut off the legs and make them into shorts!)
- Update your bedroom wall, cut out some posters from your favourite mag and stick em' up!
- watch a funny film (my go-to is Shrek, Madagascar or Bridget Jones)
- look through old family photographs
- contact a friend you haven't spoken to in a while
- Pamper Time!! run a hot bath with some luxury bubbles and a face mask
- try out a new recipe
- organise things, e.g. papers, files on your computer etc.
- make a collage
- watch funny videos on YouTube
- make your own playlist and put it on a CD
I hope this was useful for all of you, that's all my ideas spent! If you have any more ideas post a comment!
