Just be nice

hello there! :)

little bit of a bittersweet post today...

Most of us have that one friend who we care loads about and have known for years. They're the one who know all your secrets and make you laugh and you think that you'll never stop being their friend. We tend to take them for granted. And then they stop being there and you don't know what to do anymore. You sit in your room all weekend on your laptop, cry a little, tell yourself that you'll get over them but you don't.

After a while you contact them on Facebook because you've both got knew phones or changed your numbers. You tell them that you really miss them and that you'd love it if you could meet up with you. But you get no reply. And you repeatedly check your phone, but they ignore you.

Nothing is worse than that unwanted feeling that you get.

In my experience its best to just let them go, get on with your life. You're going to meet so many other people that are going to stay with you and love you no matter what happens.

If that person contacts you and says they want to be mates again then that's great; but until then we can't just sit around and wait.

Sit next to the curly haired new girl on the school bus, say hi to the boy you've liked for ages. You never know, you just might find that best friend who you'll have for life. But this time you'll never take them for granted.

Hello :)

Hi I'm Holly. You probably don't know me very well.
I'm a teenage girl who lives in the north of England in the beautiful Lake District and I think this blog will be a kind of diary about my life, fashion, food, music and anything that interests me. I like taking pretty photographs, drawing, eating, finding little shops that are like treasure chests and reading. I get exited about boys (especially Andrew Garfield and Zac Efron!), good music, getting A*s and Christmas.

This blog has been inspired by a lot of different things.

Firstly, I want to express my thoughts and feelings. I have a lot to say, and this blog provide a place for me to be heard. I want to communicate with and meet people who feel the same as me. Plus, if I could make a difference in someone's life for just five minutes while they read my latest post I will be a very happy teenager.

I often feel like my life is going nowhere. Even though I'm only fifteen. I'm not sure what I want to do when I finish school. People are always telling me that its early days and I don't have to choose yet. My mother tells me to pray about it, which I do. I hope blogging will make me feel committed to something, like I'm working towards a goal.

I hope you will enjoy reading this blog, the quality of writing probably isn't very good but I promise I will improve as time goes on :)

Holly xx

April Showers

March was the month of indecisiveness for the weather in Britain. One day we have inches of snow and all the schools are closing because of a weather warning; the next week the sun puts his hat on and you feel like running around the harbour in your shorts and little cropped t-shirts.
Now its April and as I look outside my bedroom window I can see raindrops falling off the trees and puddles starting to form on the patio.

Days like this leave us feeling a little bit down in the dumps, don't they? Exam week is looming and you've been studying and revising the whole of the Easter holidays when the sun has been shining. Now, on a Sunday and we've got some spare time to see our friends and go into town before school starts it decides to rain. Yippee.

Anyway, I have some ideas to get us out of the dumpsters!

My Spring Playlist! (just some feel good songs to get us in the mood :) )

  • Ready or Not by Bridgit Mendler here
  • Best Damn Night by Six D here
  • Oath by Cher Lloyd here
  • 22 by Taylor Swift here
  • Brokenhearted by Karmin here
  • Hey Soul Sister by Train here

Stuff to do on a rainy day:
  • Bake a cake (and eat it!!)
  • Update some of your clothes (are those skinny jeans getting to small but you don't want to chuck them? cut off the legs and make them into shorts!)
  • Update your bedroom wall, cut out some posters from your favourite mag and stick em' up!
  • watch a funny film (my go-to is Shrek, Madagascar or Bridget Jones)
  • look through old family photographs
  • contact a friend you haven't spoken to in a while
  • Pamper Time!! run a hot bath with some luxury bubbles and a face mask
  • try out a new recipe
  • organise things, e.g. papers, files on your computer etc.
  • make a collage
  • watch funny videos on YouTube
  • make your own playlist and put it on a CD
I hope this was useful for all of you, that's all my ideas spent! If you have any more ideas post a comment!
